I am resurrecting this web site to have a homepage for the Saxtons River 4th of July Group Run. There will be no race this year. Main Street is not being closed. There are no port-o-potties. Just show up and run at the usual time (8:30 AM July 4) and usual place (Main Street in front of the Inn). Time yourself and go to the Google Form (form will begin accepting results on July 4) to report your results. We will try to get some pictures to share on Strava, Facebook or the social media site of your choosing.
With no Fourth of July celebration in Saxtons River this year the 5K race is going virtual. Run any time before midnight on July 5. Post your results on the event page here. There are no entry fees and no prizes. Run for bragging rights only and to see your name in the results which will be final here after July 5.
Results of this morning’s Bring It Home 5K are available on Coolrunning.com.

Time to let go of 2018 and start thinking about 2019. It’s been a long injury plagued year but things are slowly improving and I am optimistic about the coming year. I am entering a new age group and my goal is to get and stay injury free so I can optimize my performance at the National Senior Games track and field competition and at the USATF Outdoor National Masters Track and Field Championships. My plan is to only run as much and as hard as I need to, which won’t be easy because it is so easy to let self doubts convince me I need to run the next workout harder and faster than the last.
